"Summer Moonshine" is an enjoyable read, full of the classic Wodehouse humor, dated at times yet still applicable to today. For anyone who has read a lot of Wodehouse, the plot twists will be familiar - readers know who will end up with whom and that those little twerps who need to be found out will be found out. Very funny This story is a wonderful example of PG Wodehouse silliness. Jonathan Cecil performs it perfectly. One minor niggle, this is obviously a copy from the CD versions such that it includes the words "end of CD 2" and "start of CD 3" etc at what would be the change point. -Summer Moonshine by P.G. Wodehouse: Fun and Frivolous Aug by Word Hits Moonshine here does not mean Tennessee hooch, though this being Wodehouse, the characters tend to reach for potent liquid bracers at key plot points.
SUMMER MOONSHINE. Wodehouse, P.G. Published by Penguin rpt (Over other books by this author in stock.) Paperback. Book orders are shipped on a daily basis. Whomever Wodehouse intended, it was Evelyn who picked up the reference: in his novel Scoop, published in May , a few months after Summer Moonshine, a minor character is said to have “known a man named Bertie Wodehouse-Bonner.”. This is a novel in the traditional Wodehouse manner, a story of hilariously complex situations that will reduce the reader to tears of delight.
